Testimonial:
I was saved back in 1986 and
I was influenced by my now wife's family. We were just dating then
I grew up in a non-Christian home filled with much turmoil that I
thought was my fault. My dad died when I was 3. I was very
bitter towards him for leaving me to my fate of a physically and
mentally abusive childhood. I moved in with my girlfriend, living
in sin together and all the bitterness kept growing with Satan
influencing me.
My drinking and drug abuse accumulated to a point where
I hated everything around me including myself. I wanted to hurt
everyone as much as I was hurting. But Jesus never left me even in
the darkest nights; Jesus was there for me I just didn't know enough to
reach for his hand to lead me. 10 years of being lost, finally
after 2 OUIs and deteriorating health I reached for the Lord and He
helped me make a change. I realized I was at the end of my
self-abuse. In 1996 I finally prayed for help to put the bottle
away and did. But still couldn't admit the drugs were a problem.
Until February 20th 2003 my wife had recommitted years earlier and
had been praying for me as well as a lot of her family. A great
weight was lifted when I was rid of the drugs.
We both started going back to church and I finally made
a REAL commitment to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I wanted Him
to lead me where He wanted me to go.
We were both baptized in April 2003 by Steve Nute.
In May I was lead to a Sons of God Biker Sunday and was
invited to the Bible studies.
Jesus has blessed my life so much since my commitment
to him. The Lord has led me to have a new Harley and a new family
of fellowship. Jesus really knows what to do and when to do it in
his time not mine.
I am so thankful that Jesus is the center of my life
now filling all the gaps that only He knows need filling. Every
day is a new and exiting blessing.
Today Jesus has brought me to be the Vice President for
the Sons of God.
I trust Jesus to bring me to what He wants me to do in
His will.
